White Desert

This is the 10th and memorial post!!!

 

"Lençóis Maranhenses National Park" is located in Maranhão state, in northeastern Brazil.

 

 

 

Almost of elements are quartz, and they reflect sun light brightly.

 

 

 

Lençóis means sheet in Portuguese, and the white sand looks like as if someone overlaid sheets. 

 

 

The contrast of white sand and blue pond is very beautiful!!!

 

 

 

 

Marble Cathedral

This is the 9th post!!!


Today, I'm gonna introduce "Marble Cathedral".


It is located on  General Carrera Lake between Argentina and Chile.

This crave which is made of marble reflects sun light clearly.

The shape of this cave is very funny, isn't it?


It is glaciated shape, and the beautiful pattern is also caused by it.



Crater Lake

This is the 8th post!!!

This is the "Crater Lake" in Oregon, USA.




It's 7th the deepest lake in the world, and there's no lake which is deeper than here in USA.

 

 

Ancients misunderstood that this is a crater, and called this lake "Crater Lake".

 

 

 

 

But in fact, this is a caldera filled of clean water.

 

 

 

 

The contrast of snow-white and water-blue is very, very fantastic!!!

Goðafoss, Republic of Iceland
 

This waterfall called "Goðafoss" is in Republic of Iceland.

"Goðafoss" means waterfalls of Gods in English.


Here is one of the most spectacular places in Iceland.

This waterfall is 30-meters-wide, and drops 12 meters.



The name "Goðafoss" comes from this story.

When the government of Iceland decided to change their religion to Christ, beleiver of original religion threw their idles into the basin.
